The feature of tourmaline is pyroelectricity (it charges electrically if warmed-up and then cooled down). In contact with hair it releases infrared heat and negative ions that cancel the static energy giving shine to hair; allow water to evaporate more quickly, removing the frizzy effect and sealing the cuticle increasing hair brilliance.
